I write today from the Vacancy Committee Meeting for State Senate District 30, serving Highlands Ranch, Castle Pines, Lone Tree and parts of unincorporated Douglas County. What a process this is — democracy in action to identify our representative in the State Senate, fulfilling the final two years of Commissioner Van Winkle’s Senate term.
CONGRATULATIONS GO TO SENATOR-ELECT JOHN CARSON, who is due to be sworn in within a few days.
The next major meeting for the Republican Party is slated to be February 3, where officers of the county party will be elected. Keep your eyes out for our newsletter, which will share information about the candidates for those offices and other important information.
