Happy Thanksgiving with family and/or friends! We have a special program at our November 15th meeting where we will hear from Historian Ben Martin as he shares President George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation plus additional patriotic messages. See his full bio on Page 1 of this newsletter. Don’t miss this one!

As the election looms closer for our Douglas Co. School Board, I urge you to support the four great candidates on the Elevate Douglas County slate:
Randy Mills, Debora Scheffel, Grant Nelson, and Ryan Abresch.  They need your time, talent and treasure now more than ever . . . and, of course, your vote! Please go to www.ElevateDouglasCounty.com to learn more about all four candidates and be sure to tell your family, friends, and neighbors to get out and vote!

We all have our eyes on Washington now to see if they can get the tax reform bill passed. I don’t know if we should be making any bets on it though! With the media’s obsession on President Trump’s “Russian collusion,” it seems like that’s all they care about. Personally, I don’t believe there’s any connection with Trump that will come of this investigation. Time will tell. And then there is the Uranium One Scandal, Hillary’s “rigging” the Democrat Primary, the Manafort indictment, etc., etc.

What a horrific terror attack on Halloween in NYC! Please keep the victims and their families in your thoughts and prayers!

The Governor’s and Treasurer’s races are really becoming crowded on both the Democrat and Republican sides. With the recent entrance of two more Republicans in the Governor’s race, it’s going to be a very, very busy time between now and the Primary. Be sure to carefully vet your chosen candidates and then get behind them with your time, talent and treasure. It looks like it’s going to be a rough ride! Let’s do our part to turn Colorado RED!

I’m looking forward to seeing all of you at our Annual Meeting on November 15th to hear an inspiring program by Ben Martin.

Yours in Freedom and Liberty,
Marsha
