We had asked that you save the date of May 19th, for the CFRW District VI meeting; however, we find there are several things that conflict with that date that could possibly keep our attendance down. We have rescheduled the meeting for June 2nd, with it still being a lunch meeting at the Valley Country Club, further information will be forthcoming.
We all survived the Caucus and the County Assembly meeting in March we now have one more hurdle prior to the June primary and that is our April 14th State Assembly at the Coors Event Center in Boulder. Congratulations to those of you who were elected Delegates and Alternates to the State Assembly. If you have never participated at either of these levels, I recommend you attend the State Assembly and observe, then make plans to put your hat in the ring at the next Caucus or State Assembly, every step forward you take in these Assemblies is helping to reshape the future of our state and our country.
This month our bucket money will go to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department to aid in the purchase of vests for the K-9 Unit. They have two dogs now that have not been fitted for vests because they are still growing, but will soon be at the size to be fitted. Sheriff Spurlock says while fortunately they have not had a dog shot, these vests offer very good protection for the dogs from knife wounds and also from glass cuts when they have to jump through broken windows or doors. Let’s all dig deep and help purchase these vests.
I hope each and every one of you enjoyed the Easter holiday with your friends and family.
Looking forward to seeing you at the April 18th meeting.
